Azita Ghanizada

Azita Ghanizada has been the Afghan American actress in the United States who has appeared in numerous TV shows. The family she was born into fled Afghanistan and seeking asylum in the US. She was born in the US. The middle sister of her mother was raised in Northern Virginia. Ghanizada started her camera work by appearing in numerous National Commercials. Ghanizada appeared as Chiara in Laura Neri's film A Kiss on the Nose (2003). To commemorate this performance, she received a nomination in the festival's Cannes Film Festival, for the Best Actress Award. A few of her TV roles include How I Met Your Mother Entourage Veronica Mars NUMB3RS The Wedding Bells NUMB3RS Psych and Castle. Recent appearances included the action-science fiction movie Blood Shot (2009) and the independent comedies You Only Better (2009). Ghanizada began her career in 2008 when she was a part of the crew of the General Hospital spin-off General Hospital. Season two of Nightshift, she was holistic doctor the Dr. Saira Bastra.
