Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzalez-Collins, the Mexican American sportscaster. She is currently a sportscaster for ESPN and is anchor for SportsCenter as well as hosting SportsNation. She was hired by ESPN as a reporter in the year 2016. Her mother is the journalist on television Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins is bi-lingual and has been since her age of nine. Her ability in this area allowed her to land her first job with Univision, Miami. She could work as a producer for national programs like Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. She was hired as a reporter for CBS St. Petersburg. CBS St. Petersburg affiliate following that. In 2009 she relocated away from Texas in the Rio Grande Valley where she began her news reporting at KNVO TV 48 Univision. In 2009, she relocated to Rio Grande Valley, Texas and became a journalist for KNVO 48 Univision and Fox2 News. She was also often asked to serve as anchors for the weather and sports. Deportes 23 in Dallas, Univision's Dallas-affiliate station. There she had more duties. She was a reporter for the Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS World Series, the Dallas Cowboys and NBA Postseason as well as the Finals FC Dallas FC Dallas Stars. Also, she produced Univision 23's local sports program Accion Deportiva Extra, on which she acted as anchor. She was appointed as the anchor for sports by Despierta America Deportes for their morning program. Also, she was anchor of the sports segment for Primer Impacto, a magazine show on the UniMas Network and Contacto Deportivo. Antonietta's parents come from Veracruz Mexico. Eventually, they settled in Mexico City and she was born on the 22nd of November, 1985. There is an older sister. She is the older sister. Within a brief time her father divorced from her mother. She later remarried in the year 1995 to a naval architect whose name was Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo died of kidney cancer in 2006. In the summer of 2006, she spent one week with her sibling at Canton Ohio. The older Collins girl was working at the time. Antonietta was the senior of her high school however, she had a clear idea of her goals for the future. She visited Mount Union University to find out if the school was suitable for her. As it turned out she loved the school and they were offering the major she was looking for. After finishing her high school education, she chose to attend the University to pursue a degree with Media Studies. Mark Bergmann - her professor was also the station managing director at WRMU (91.1 FM), where she belonged. Her professor urged her to believe in herself and was greatly moved by his enthusiasm for journalism.
