Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Gonzalez Collins (born in Mexico) is the Mexican American sportscaster. Her current job is with ESPN as a reporter for SportsCenter as well as occasionally hosting SportsNation. She was hired by ESPN in the year 2016. She is the child of television journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta is a native bilingual. Since she was nine years old, Collins's capacity to converse in two languages helped her get a job in Miami as an assistant production for Univision. In her position she was able to work with national producers, such as Nuestra Belleza Latina. Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. Then it was announced that the CBS station of St. Petersburg employed her as a sports reporter. Then, in 2009 the reporter moved into Rio Grande Valley Texas where she worked for KNVO TV 48 Univision as well as Fox2 News. In reporting on news stories about drugs and immigration issues on both sides the Texas-Mexico Border, she served as an anchor on KNVO TV 48, the Spanish channel KNVO TV48 at 5pm, then as a reporter for news on English at 9 pm and the news anchor was on until 10pm before returning back to the Spanish channel. In addition, she was frequently asked to serve as a sports or weather anchor. She then anchored and reported on Univision's Dallas affiliate Deportes 23 where she was given more responsibilities. She created pieces for Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS and World Series as well Dallas Cowboys NBA postseason finals FC Dallas, and Dallas Stars. She produced Univision 23 Accion Deportiva Extra and anchored it. Then, she became the sports host for the morning program on Despierta America Deportes. In similar roles on the magazine program of the network Primer Impacto and for UniMas Network's Contacto Deportivo. Antonietta's parents hail of Veracruz Mexico. They moved at some point to Mexico City, where Antonietta Collins was born in November of 1985. She is the elder sibling of her parents. In 1992, the family left Mexico to the US and eventually settled in Miami. In 1992, her parents separated and shortly afterward in 1995 she was remarried Fabio Fajardo, naval engineer, who passed away in the year 2006 after suffering from kidney cancer. Her residence was with her family in Canton Ohio with her older sister over the summer and was provided with a job. Antonietta was a senior high school student and was very aware of her goals for the future. She visited Mount Union University to determine if they suited her. The campus was stunning as well as offered the level of education she wanted. After completing the requirements for high school, she attended the University to pursue media studies. Mark Bergmann, her professor who was also WRMU's 91.1FM station, where she was employed for a number of years, was a friend. Mark Bergmann inspired her to have confidence and also his love for journalism deeply influenced her, and she determined to live up to the expectations of him and not fail him.
