Ana Celia de Armas Caso was born in Cuba and was raised by Spanish parents. She started her career in Cuba with a leading character on the drama romantic Una rosa de Francia. In 2007, she relocated to Madrid in Spain and began starring in El Internado, a popular Spanish drama, for six seasons. Then, in Los Angeles, de Armas played English characters in films including The psychological drama Knock Knock 2015 and the comedy/crime War Dogs 2016. The film made her famous due to her character as the hyper-realistic AI projection Joi in the science-fiction film Blade Runner 2049 (2017). Ana de Armas and Ben Affleck dated before the actor ended with Jennifer Lopez as a wife. Affleck had a relationship with Ana de Armas for nearly an entire year after their collaboration in Deep Water. Ana de Armas got more interest because she was dating Ben Affleck.
